He let himself imagine it then. Just for a second. A warm hand, not his. A voice—low, familiar—telling him it was okay. That he could let go.
He gasped at the thought, fingers curling in the sheets, shame flooding his chest so fast it made his throat tighten.
He can’t ever know.
But oh, god, he wanted him to.
The door clicked open downstairs.
San didn’t hear it—not at first. Not through the haze. Not over the soft sounds he was making into Mingi’s pillow, muffled and quiet and ruined.
