A look of horror crossed Roadrunner’s face. Coyote flipped the sign.
[ NOT UNTIL I CAUGHT YOU ]
The look of horror doubled. Roadrunner replied:
[ BUT YOU CAUGHT ME ]
Flip.
[ WHY NOT SPEAK NOW? ]
Coyote shrugged. Non-verbal communication worked just fine. Why fix what was not broken?
And then, Roadrunner’s face contorted into something Coyote had never seen on him before: anger.
[ DON’T YOU WANT TO CLAIM YOUR VICTORY OVER THAT ******* *******? ]
Upon seeing the sign he had produced, his face scrunched up even further and he beeped out:
“..-. ..- -.-. -.- .. -. --. / .- ... ... .... --- .-.. .”
“FUCKING ASSHOLE”

Summary
An aura of obscenity permeates the air around Michael, and he's sure everyone can see it. Somehow, he's made it to his twenties without dying, despite the never-ending itch in his head. He hasn't wanted to be here for a long time, and it shows, and he feels that it shows.
But it's better than being what his father wants him to be.

Summary
“This should be you down there,” his father whispers softly against Mike’s ear, a comforting and familiar sound. It muffles the buzzing in his head, like a blanket made of silk. His hand rests on Michael’s shoulder, slender, pale fingers a striking contrast compared to the black of Mike’s suit. “Not her. Right?”
Mike sighs, resigned. “Right. Sorry, Dad.”
“That’s alright.”
First, there were four. Then there were three. And now there's just two.
Elizabeth's death puts Mike in quite a predicament — it's just him and his father, and while initially thrilling, the sole thought starts to slowly fill him with dread once the missing children's posters start to turn up in Hurricane.
