When her brain finally settled, she saw the daunting tube of watermelon lip smackers displayed on her desk. She could have sworn she had put it away. She had stolen it from Jackie the last time she had been at her place. She wasn’t sure why she did it honestly. All she knew was one moment it was on Jackie’s vanity, the next she was quietly slipping it into the pocket of her skirt, hoping that it would be hours before Jackie even noticed it was gone. These days, she hid it away in her desk drawers, like it was something to be ashamed of. Maybe it was.

There's no view out of the windows, no sun to rise or set, but when Gwyn's watch reads six o'clock the light through the kitchen window is grey-blue the way it always is at dawn and that's when he tends to see Behrad the most.
