Summary
The interviewer tilts his head and smiles almost teasingly at Chuuya. “I’m guessing it has something to do with that last mention?”
“Yeah, and it’s stupid,” Chuuya says with a shrug.
“I’m sure it’s fine, we’ve all had stupid or embarrassing things happen to us, Chuuya.”
Chuuya sighs again, even deeper this time. “I just think saying that the only reason you started writing was because of this guy you met one night when you were fifteen, depressed, and shitfaced isn’t really that inspiring.”
Crack. Dazai’s pen breaks clean in half.
A story that follows Dazai Osamu— an artist who has been longing for a ghost for far too long— and Nakahara Chuuya— an author who with just 31 words turned Dazai’s world upside down— and tells the tale of how they found their way back to each other.
