She practically jumped on hearing his last name. Her tug was enough to break Leon’s concentration. He accidentally stabbed her with the bandage clip without making a noise. She sighed an apology and shook her head, “Yeah. That’s Chris. How do you know him? Other than…” Looking exactly like him.

It was all going to be fine.
Yes, things seemed to have not gone entirely according to plan. Yes, he was technically kidnapped, or “rescued,” as his captors preferred to call it. Yes, he was utterly defenceless in the middle of a gang war. And yes, for whatever reason, the Boss had... stopped calling him. Temporarily.
But it was all going to be fine because the Boss never failed, or lost, or made mistakes. If he could just stay calm, maintain cover and not be brutally killed then sooner or later the call would come, and everything would make sense again.
