Summary
A run-in on an Imperial ship between Mandalorians and New Republic pilots ends in violence and a stalemate. Tensions are now heightened as several New Republic senators extend negotiations to the mysterious ruler of Mandalore, a reformed planet isolated from the galaxy.
Mand’alor Din Djarin and Duchess Bo-Katan Kryze begin defensive discussions with the Galactic Senate, opposed to becoming involved in any outside government after so recently reclaiming their home planet. As they aim to keep Din’s identity confidential, the Mandalorians hunt the rest of the Empire in the Outer Rim and attempt to avoid the New Republic’s domineering presence.
But Senator Leia Organa isn’t taking no for an answer with peace on the line.

Simple enough, until they fall in love with the planet... and with each other. With Padmé married and Obi-Wan a Jedi, they can't do anything about being in love without challenging everything they stand for. But, if their mission is to bring war to a planet they care about, then perhaps their beliefs deserve to be challenged.

Takes place in the three years between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. This story focuses on a realistic treatment of Leia's PTSD/trauma along with how she begins to build personal relationships and grows as a leader in the wake of the worst days of her young life. Summary
Axe had loved her for a long time, a feeling that he knew very well that she didn’t return, despite their on and off relationship over the years.
All this time he had assumed that she wasn’t interested in feelings, her focus instead on ruling Mandalore.
But there was a tone to the way she was talking about Din Djarin that irked him.
Like she cared about the guy. About this super religious weirdo who never took his helmet off, who’s people had never even lived on Mandalore, instead escaping the destruction by hiding on Concordia before scattering across the galaxy instead of staying to fight for their planet.
They weren’t his kind of Mandalorians.
And he hadn’t thought they were hers either.
