The battle of Hogwarts is now part of the history books and so are Voldemort and his Death Eaters. But war leaves scars, visible ones and those that dwell deep under the skin. Not even a witch as gifted as Hermione Granger got away unscathed. For her final year, the witch returns to Hogwarts as head girl and is looking forward to a peaceful academic year. But she isn't the only one to return for her finals. Because where there's a head girl, there needs to be a head boy too. And Draco Malfoy is no longer the man Hermione remembers.
Because former Death Eaters can have scars too.
And while the Wizarding World is still licking its wounds, a new threat arises on the darkening horizon.

5 years ago, they defeated Vecna.
For most people in Hawkins, things went back to normal. But for the people who know the truth, there'll never be a "normal" ever again.
Steve Harrington's life hasn't been what he imagined for himself when he was younger, but at least, he's alive.
Still living in his parent's house and working at Family Video, he lives from day to day, not worrying about what the next day might bring.
Unless it was another encounter with the Upside Down. He had enough of those.It's been four years since his best friend fled the city, one year since they talked for the last time.
But on one, chilly October night, Eddie Munson is back. And he is not alone.
It seems like the Upside Down hasn't yet lost its grip on Hawkins after all.
Or: Eddie Munson comes back to Hawkins and the crew assembles one last time to deal with a threat that's spreading over the borders of their once peaceful town. A threat with the potential to swallow them all whole.
The title is from the song "When it's all over" by RAIGN. In my opinion, it fits the fanfic quite well

Steve Harrington has a problem, a huge problem. It's name - Eddie Munson.
It's not Eddie himself who's the problem but the butterflies inside Steve's stomach which seem to be throwing a party whenever the dungeon master is around him. But to Eddie, they're nothing more than friends, right? At least that's what Steve's been telling himself.Now he finds himself in a precarious situation. The two of them agreed to go out together one night...but they never clarified if it was a date or simply two friends spending some time together.
Or: During a visit to the drive - in cinema, Steve is trying to figure out whether his friend reciprocates his feelings.
(While reading this fanfic, please keep in mind that English isn't my mother tongue and that I'm trying my best to write this story with as little errors as possible)

“You wanna make some cash?” The question came out of nowhere, but Steve had Eddie’s attention.
“What’re you looking for, Harrington?” Eddie’s hand went back to his lunchbox, which was sat between his feet. “I have a couple of hard and fast lines for what I’m not willing to sell, but I can source most things.” Eddie fished around in his lunchbox, it was quite empty now, but he thought there might be something in there which Steve could settle for.
“No. No, not that,” Steve shook his head, his eyes intently on the burning cherry of his cigarette. He hadn’t lifted it to his lips for a few minutes, seemingly content to watch it burn and enjoy the smell. Eddie held back his annoyance at this, wishing that Steve had chosen one of his own cigarettes to waste.
“What, then?” Eddie tore his gaze away from the unappreciated cigarette. Seeming to sense the irritation building up inside Eddie, Steve took a long drag.
“Look,” Steve’s voice cracked slightly – was he nervous? Eddie held back a smirk. “This is certifiably insane, but hear me out.”

Summary
They did it. They killed Vecna. Now comes the rest of their lives.
Things start to slowly go back to normal for the Hawkins gang. Injuries start to heal and bodies recover from the pain that Venca left in his wake. Of course, not all the pain was physical. Steve constantly puts others first and would rather fix everyone else’s problems than deal with his own. While rewinding tapes at work, he finds himself counting down the minutes to get back home to where Eddie is recovering. Meanwhile, Eddie is having a hard time understanding why anyone, especially Steve, would care about him considering how much of a burden he is on everyone. He soon finds himself looking forward to when Steve comes home from work, listening for the sound of his car pulling into the driveway. After a couple of weeks, the boys fall into a comfortable rhythm, becoming a placeholder in each other’s lives. They soon realize that life is a lot better when you have someone to come home to.
