Goten smiles, a drunk yet sweet smile, Trunk's knees are buckling, “Trunks..” He mumbles again, his spiked breath tickling Trunk's face, “You're so pretty.” Goten speaks so sickly sweet, his arms tightening and causing Trunks to blink slowly. He's just drunk. He's just drunk. Trunks repeats to himself, “Can I kissh you?” Goten slurs out, looking at only Trunk's quivering lips.
Trunks doesn't know what to say, his mouth agape. His crush, his best friend, who he had many fantasies such as this, was just asking to kiss him? He’s sputtering, the alcohol doing nothing to help his racing, clouded over head.
Goten is kissing him, and Trunks is kissing him back.

Alastor had been grappling with strange, unwelcome feelings toward Vox—feelings that twisted tighter every time the blue demon so much as brushed against him. Alastor tried to dismiss it as irritation, a byproduct of proximity and pride.
But denial had its limits.
The tension had been building too long, humming beneath the surface like a wire stretched too thin. At last, Alastor decided to stop running from it. He was going to do something about it.

A lot of things about the hotel had changed since Lucifer had first visited.
Well – considering the entire thing had been a knock-down rebuild, that probably went without saying. Gone were the tattered curtains and mismatched furniture, the bar that had been yanked right out of reality and plopped down in the middle of the lobby. And those railings? Reinforced, reinvigorated, rejuvenated – uh, other words to describe the repairs.
There was another thing that had changed about the hotel, something a little more personal. Something Lucifer was currently enjoying to the fullest, his forearm propped on one of those aforementioned railings as he watched Alastor finishing his morning cup of coffee. At the table on Lucifer's balcony. The balcony they were sharing, because, yep – the Radio Demon now resided in his rooms.

Or: Lucifer and Alastor are enjoying their morning coffee, until Lucifer issues a challenge Alastor simply cannot let pass. How sturdy are those railings?

Oh, he'd deny it if anybody said anything about it, would claim he wasn't some unruly schoolboy unable to sit still while the teacher gave her lesson – but it was true. Vox had spent long enough with him to know just how true it was, and it was honestly a little endearing.

Alastor’s hands dropped to his lap. His spine stayed straight, ever the proud little puppet he was, but the tension in his shoulders lessened ever so slightly, and his ever-present grin pressed into a thin line as he glanced away from Vox’s stare.
The quiet returned.
