Bucky took in a deep breath, and his eyes slid from Dr Raynor to over her shoulder, where Steve stood, smiling at him.
"Sometimes it feels like he's still here."
Or, after Steve's death, Bucky starts to hallucinate him. He doesn't tell anyone, since he wouldn't want to be locked in a mental institution do soon after his pardon. He thought he'd have at least a couple of years to be free. So when he and Sam get caught up in this Flagsmashers business, he wonders how far he can keep his visions a secret, and how, sometimes, he thinks they aren't hallucinations at all.

No, Bucky Barnes is not fucking good.
He’s back to dealing with stupid gigs he didn’t choose with stupid hidden agendas and lives on the line. He’s trying to be a leader, but he’s right back to feeling unstable, and to tie it all off with a fucking bow Sam kisses him again and it feels like he’s regressed three years. Back to bad decisions, bad dreams, out of control and out of his hands. Back to barely breathing.
So, you can forgive him if his judgment is a little off.
Or; A governmental facility goes dark in Northern Virginia. The New Avengers receive their first mission; Sam Wilson follows.

My take on "Emily fell first, JJ fell harder".
Unwanted fingerprints were left on her body by aged hands that raked through her hair, pushed themselves through meninges and hymen, and left her with gaping holes that would forever keep her empty. Her frame a sieve for love, for care, for soft. It passed through her boiling and scorching. And she let it.
OR
Emily’s life gets tilted when a social media post drags her past out from the dark, abandoned crevices of her mind. The love that never was is slipping out of her fingers. And the cross that she’d long buried is starting to burn on the back of her throat once again.
A character study based on Emily’s childhood trauma’s, and how she’s trying to keep that mask of hers in tact whilst trying to balance a pendulum riddled with self-loathing, disgust, and guilt.
