Binder half open, Chance froze, turning his head, eyes dark. “What?”
Shifting in his seat, Will averted his gaze. “It’s not assigned seats…you can sit somewhere else today.” He braced himself, ready for Chance to tell him to kick rocks and move seats, he wanted this one. He probably would listen.
Instead, Chance flashed a quick smile, “I know.”
