Summary
“I need you to kill a man for me.”
Jesper shook his head, attempting to hand the paper back, “I’m afraid you’ve got the wrong man,” he said with a put upon smile, eyes darting for possible exit points, “I’m not a mercenary.”
OR
Jesper is running down on his luck when he's approached by a merchant with a dark job for him. He doesn't want to do it, but when his father is threatened Jesper is forced to take the hit.
Sounds easy enough, until Jesper meets the boy he's supposed to kill, and everything starts to fall apart.
Basically an AU where Jesper WAS actually sent to kill Wylan during the Book!Wesper first meet, only Jesper never actually goes through with the deed

Summary
When Wylan sent Jesper out to grab groceries for a party, he didn't expect Jesper to come home with a teenager in tow. However, they slowly grow to realize that this kid may have more in common with the Crows than they'd like. Jesper and Wylan struggle with learning how to parent and several doubts come into play. The crows always thought the hardest job they'd ever had was the Ice Court, but parenting might be what kills them.

Summary
“Inej- Inej, get up! Inej! Please…” Wylan trailed off, fear choking his words.
The crumpled heap on the ground didn’t twitch.
Wylan's gaze darted to the mouth of the alley. He fumbled with his pockets for something—an incendiary or maybe a flash bomb.
A large gloved hand closed around his wrist.
“Not so fast,” the man said with a loose smirk. Inej’s knives were still buried in his chest. Blood darkened the fabric around them. He had to be at least a head taller than Jesper and twice as broad, meaning he was rather gargantuan where Wylan was concerned.
Saints, he wished Jesper was here.
--
When Inej and Wylan go missing, Kaz doesn't let his concern show (but he's slipping, and it's only a matter of time before someone calls him out on it). On the other hand, Jesper doesn’t give a shit about keeping up appearances (He can’t go back to one-night stands with pretty, faceless strangers. They've never quieted the itch for the Makkers Wheel like Wylan does). They're both grasping at straws, but perhaps this is a monster they need to trust Inej and Wylan to handle on their own.

Summary
“Am I not allowed to say that the first time I saw you, I thought you were a fairytale prince who’d accidentally wandered out of his storybook?”
Wylan stiffened, and his voice dropped low, a mix of frustration and embarrassment. “Stop.”
“Stop complimenting you?”
Wylan’s glare deepened. “Stop doing that.”
“Doing what?” Jesper asked, batting his eyelashes exaggeratedly. “Flirting?”
Wylan’s ears burned red all over again, Jesper noted with approval.
“Flirting because I hate you and you think you can win me over!” It seemed like a monumental effort for Wylan to keep his feet planted rather than stomp them out of frustration.
Jesper tilted his head, pretending to consider. “Hate is… a little strong, don’t you think? Considering I literally don’t know you at all.” He skipped over the inconvenient truth that Wylan was, in fact, entirely correct.
Wylan’s expression grew more furious, if that was possible. “Right. You do not know me.”
-
Jesper Fahey does not know Wylan Van Eck. Wylan Van Eck does not know Jesper Fahey. That might not be the whole truth, but it is to them. For this moment, at least.
