Wylan’s ears burned red all over again, Jesper noted with approval.
“Flirting because I hate you and you think you can win me over!” It seemed like a monumental effort for Wylan to keep his feet planted rather than stomp them out of frustration.

Kind lies or terrible truths. Kaz and Inej opted for Kind lies when raising Jordie. She will not know who The Wraith is. And she certainly, under no circumstances, will know about Dirtyhands. Too bad for them, Dirtyhands is a household name in the Van Eck mansion. A piece of fiction, a fantasy that is more often than not brought up in Jesper’s many barrel tales. Both Jesper and Wylan respect their friends and made a vow to never tell their kids or their nieces and nephews that Kaz and Inej were related to Dirtyhands and The Wraith in any way.
However, after a get together with all of the crows and their kids, one of Jesper’s barrel stories piqued the interest of an all too curious Jordie. That night she and Aditi set off for the barrel to find the infamous Dirtyhands, not realizing he is closer than they think. The crows set off to the Barrel to get the girls back. -
