Today's adventure
Is to write poetry, don't!
Worry, we won't share.the following poems will, at some point, reach very dark topics, specifically about very dark places in mental health. if you don't wanna see that, think you can handle it, or just fw it right now, i don't blame you; go do something else, and if you want to come back, this work isn't going anywhere. chapters will also post inconsistently and have a wide range of lengths, so chapter count is not a good metric to measure this anthology's mass by. but do what you want. chapter-by-chapter content warnings will be posted in the notes. This is also a fic written exclusively in poetry from each character, written by them.
okay, so i just watched episode 8. first off what the fuck. second off WHAT the FUCK. i have decided that this fic takes place somewhere outside the main canon timeline, but also encompassing it without any respect toward continuity. that is, i will be drawing inspiration from whatever the fuck i want, but all characters from episode 7 are still alive and functional. essentially, i do what i want and mention whatever. it's easier this way.

It had seemed, although Caine created the world, things directly connected to the humans’ mind files would stay in tact. Their bodies, and their rooms. This not only gave them a place to go without fear of harm, but time.
So, when the group agreed to return to their respective rooms, wanting to calm down and rest for a while, Pomni had decided she wouldn’t be going alone.

Pomni stands there in the cool night air. The moonlight turns from clear to gauzy as a cloud passes over it.
“Yeah,” she eventually responds. “I do.”
Pomni's boyfriend drags her to a party, gets blackout drunk, and leaves her stranded. Fortunately, his asshole roommate happens to be there too and offers to help her out.

Summary
When Pomni's father died, he took the world with him.
A town bleached of color and a house bleached of safety, Pomni finds herself caught in the limbo of existence, too tired from just surviving to put effort into living. Every second at home feels like she's being hunted by the very person she should be able to trust—her mother.
Despite what she tries, no matter what advice she follows; she still feels hollow and alone in this old empty town. That is, until a classmate who's almost always on his own approaches her one day, his eyes carrying the same weight held in her own.
Maybe he really did understand.
