Alex keeps their smile on their face as Roronoa blinks at them. Their microphone still hovers in front of his mouth. “What?” He finally responds.
“What would you say is the biggest obstacle in the way of you becoming the Greatest Swordsman?” Alex repeats. Roronoa blinks again.
“Uh,” he says eloquently.

“Pirates”, Makino says, and grins. She points past Sunny’s shoulder, laughter building in her chest. “Look!”
Sunny cheers and twirls around, jumping up to stand next to her. “Luffy!”
“I don’t know if it's Luffy, baby”, Makino says. “It might be-“
Suddenly, something shoots out from the ship. Makino watches with fascination as a human hand zooms past her and grabs one of the support beams of the pier. An arm a mile long, smooth and stretched like rubber.
“Fine”, she says. “It’s Luffy.”
The Pirate King returns home.

Lady Elisha's horse didn't have a name. It didn't need one. Just mention The Horse, and everyone knew what you were talking about. The scared, battered, and half-emaciated animal was the last thing you'd expect a duke's daughter to ride. But the Horse was undoubtedly Lady Elisha's horse, and it served her, and her alone, with deadly loyalty.
Thomas for his part, knew you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, and he figured the same sentiment applied to remarking about it's color. But Rainbow Basher was a good horse. Strong, sturdy, and friendly. (To him at least.) It was a good thing however, that most people didn't imagine a demon horse to have a mane and tail that shone with every color of the rainbow, or a coat that glittered like diamonds in the sun.

Nick had no idea why Alcor the Dreambender seemed to regard him with such distrust. But he was determined to prove the demon wrong by becoming one of the best damn ringleaders the Circle of the Dreamers' Star had ever seen.
Nick's friend Jack had his doubts. Nick was not the kind of personality that was suited to selflessly devoting themselves to others. But, people grow up. Sometimes the boy who thought it would be a good idea to moon a porcupine can actually turn into a decent person.
Or at least someone who puts on a pretty good show of being a decent person.
