I've read many stories that have to do with the what-if scenario in the case that it wasn't a blueberry that Nick was shot with, but there is one outcome that I hadn't seen anyone write about. I thought it deserved a story so wrote my own. This is what I think would have happened had Nick actually been shot with Nighthowler.

Summary
Set in a Edo era Japanese setting. The newly established Lionheart shogunate faces the end of Its long term of peace and industrialization when it is challenged by a fast approaching and threatening army led by clan Big from the west. Our Hero; a daughter of the newly established Hopps clan forms a plan in light of this threat. She is sent to retrieve an old, legendary samurai warrior who may well turn the tides of the oncoming war before it even begins.
