When Loki takes over the Hammer Industries building where Tony works, he doesn't panic. He doesn't fear for his life. Honestly, he has more faith in Loki than he does in all of the Avengers combined. (Really, they let Hammer on the team. They can't be that smart.) He just grabs some thing to play with and goes with the flow. And then breaks out of the flow. Because he can. And when he runs into the god himself, well, what makes more sense than to offer his assistance? (He really, really hates Hammer, you know.)

Severus sunk lower in his chair, staring witheringly over his butterbeer. "You told Potter about it, too?"
"He might as well put all that energy to good use," said Lily. "And, to be accurate, I told Remus."
"But Potter, really?" said Severus.
"He and Black cooked up a jinx that gives you a boil every time you say a slur to a Muggleborn," said Lily. "It was either invite them to Alice's war club or bake them cookies, and I know where my skills lie."
Severus sniffed. "Don't come crying to me if he tugs your pigtails."
"Come crying to me if he pulls yours, and I'll deck him," said Lily.

Credence was good at watching things. Newt didn’t make eye contact. He put his wand in his mouth and was only steady around his creatures. Credence was only steady around Newt.
“Are you staying on with him?” Tina asked. Tina liked to bump into Newt and hang over his shoulder, waiting for him to speak. Not a lot of people gave him a chance to talk first, to not bite off his run-on sentences and quirksome smiles. He was too talented at keeping the world away with his stutters and rocking feet.

Legolas determined he would have to cut through the Woods of Oromë. If all went well, it should be a straight shot to what Celebrimbor had labelled as the Mansions of Aulë. Perhaps, were he a wiser elf, he would first seek the guidance of Mandos – because after all, he was still alive, and Gimli was still dead.
But Legolas was, at the end of all things, not a very wise elf. He was simply an elf with a fiddle and a bow, who was deeply in love. And he had to hope that would be enough.
