Summary

However, once bought and within the safe contents of his car, the appears to be a lot quieter than Wenlang originally expected; no whining, crying or complaining ever escapes the soul's lips - just utter silence.

What if, instead of handing in his resignation letter, Gao Tu handed Shen Wenlang the legal documents he had meticulously prepared, pleading him for help? Begging for the one thing that he needed to keep his child alive?
(So this was something that stuck with me from the novel. Gao Tu mentions that he had put together legal papers to protect the child, and I just wanted to flesh out that idea!)
