After months of the same recurring nightmare, Wolf's true feelings for Fox are dragged out and forced into the open when a mission goes wrong, and the two canines are stuck on Fortuna together with no way of being found, and no way of getting off the dinosaur infested planet. Hopefully, Wolf will be able to keep up the act for as long as needed. Rivalry can only be used as a cover up for so long, after all.

Summary
Not much has changed between Fox and Wolf since things, well, changed. Life is good, work is steady, everything is the same, but also different. But Wolf and Fox like that, and are content to live happily like this. That is, until, Fox steals the last of Wolf's good shirts, and his punishment gets some unexpected results. Specifically, it ends up in an attempt at Wolf's life that signals a change is coming in Corneria. Be it through political chess against Pepper, or the stress that comes with it, one way or another Star Fox is going through the ringer, and it might just make it out in pieces.

As more time passes and Nidalee's impatience for an answer grows, he is forced to respond.
With a final sigh Rengar angrily replies
