On a lonely bench, in the shadow of a tree near a small pond, sat a tall slender woman with pale white skin and dark black locks. She did not pay attention to any of the festivities or merry games of the nymphs and satyrs around her. Instead her dark green eyes seemed to be unfocused and aimed at the waterlilies in the pond.
"Who is this?" Aphrodite asked a nearby nymph.
The nymph followed her gaze, then shuddered and quickly averted her eyes. "My Goddess, that is Persephone, Queen of the Dead."
