It’s been two months since Draco Malfoy broke Harry Potter’s heart.
If Harry could avoid coming home for Christmas, he absolutely would. He's not even sure that London is his home anymore. But tradition is tradition, and holiday plans must be adhered to. Well, he could tell Hermione he wasn't interested, but he'd rather face old Voldy again if he's honest. So off to a remote, snow-smothered chalet he goes—armed with caffeine, repressed feelings, and zero emotional preparedness.
It’s been two months since Draco ran away from the best thing that ever happened to him.
Draco could produce an extensive and robust list of reasons why he’d like to avoid Pansy’s aggressively festive holiday schemes. Unfortunately, she has no respect for personal boundaries, common sense, or Draco’s desire to wallow in peace. That and he's pretty sure she's cooking a bun in the oven, so ignoring her would be uncouth even for him.
Naturally, their inability to say no to their friends finds them both trapped in a winter wonderland, doing their best to avoid each other... and failing spectacularly.

Draco is happy living the little life he has made for himself in the picturesque village of Hollywick, he has his garden. He has his friends, even if there are far too many Gryffindors among them these days. He has his business and most days his body cooperates enough to get him out of bed despite all he has put it through.... Things could certainly have turned out a lot worse.
Life did not turn out the way Harry expected it to, or maybe how everyone else expected it to turn out for him anyway. After flaming out of Aurordom Harry lost himself in trying to feel anything other than simmering rage. Thankfully those days are now behind him, he just wants to live a happy life, baking delicious treats and selling his wares in the lovely muggle village he has picked as his new home.... surely he can be happy in Hollywick.

When they all return to Hogwarts to help with rebuilding it turns out that Harry isn't the only one in need of support but he might be the only one willing to give it.
