Summary
Peter knew he wasn’t on Titan, and he definitely wasn’t back in New York. Maybe a nearby city? Somewhere remote? He didn’t know. His new legs weren’t helping either—short, awkward, unfamiliar. Somehow, after he got dusted, Peter had ended up back on Earth… but now in his eight-year-old body!
Peter Parker gets sent to Omegaverse Gotham, and starts loosing his powers. Jason Todd just sees a pup who is hurt, and needs someone there.

It is a well-known fact that Bruce Wayne is protective of his kids.
What takes a while for him to realize—a while for all of Gotham’s elite to realize—is that the Wayne children are not as unobservant as they might seem. Bruce Wayne might be protective of his kids, and fiercely so, but his kids are just as protective of him in return.
Actually, they’re worse.

The blur in front of him sharpens.
It’s human-shaped, that blur. Then face-shaped. Then—oh—hot-face-shaped, with a five-o’clock shadow, long-ish hair, and seriously blue eyes. And, fuck. That jaw.
Peter… knows that jaw? He also knows the metal arm, although it’s not the one he caught in Germany. It was different when that happened—the first time Peter had worked with Mr. Stark, and also had his first ‘Do I like dick? I might like dick’ revelation. Jesus, it was so long ago, and what a truly fucked-up day to reconnect with a blast from his pubescent sexual confusion.
Peter attempts to get up, gets very softly pushed back down with a frown, opens his stupid mouth, and, still a lot out of it, lets this slip past his filter:

The words blur together just the slightest amount with the sudden dread that curls in his stomach, “—with NBC news reporting live in New York City. Following the release of footage captured by locally acclaimed hero Mysterio, Spider-Man is revealed to be sixteen-year-old high school student Peter Parker. His last known sighting was earlier this afternoon in Times Square. If anyone has any information on his whereabouts, please report it to your local police station—”
Sam Wilson drops the remote. “What the fuck?”
or: in the aftermath of Mysterio, Sam—along with his accidental roommate Bucky Barnes—find and take in Peter Parker by happenstance. Sam’s not going to get attached to some punk-ass spider-kid from Queens. He’s not.
