Summary
For a while I've been making English "translations" of the lyrics to a bunch of the tracks from Nier: Replicant/Gestalt and Nier: Automata - creative interpretations of the "chaos language" lyrics to each game's soundtrack. Now I've got them collected here - how 'bout that?
As I choose not to use AO3's provided ratings system, note that content warnings apply for similar themes to those found in the Nier/Drakengard series proper. The Nier/Drakengard series does deal in heavy themes - themes of loss, mortality and existential despair - and I do attempt to broach those themes in my "translations." My Nier: Automata lyrics, in particular, have a depressing ending.
The transcriptions of the original lyrics of each track are generally sourced from elsewhere, sometimes with my own personal edits made to them. Unfortunately, most of those sources have come without credit for a transcription's original author. Some of my “translations” have notes attached, comprising commentary I’ve imagined for the in-universe histories and linguistics of the music being “translated” or discussion of the choices I’ve made for my “translations” and out-of-universe discussion of the tracks themselves.

Summary
I have a spare room, he almost says but then catches himself. It is not his place. He and Fullmetal have never been on the best of terms. The offer would be seen as a meaningless courtesy at best, a coarse insult at worst.
Not to mention that Fullmetal had faced down worse foes than the Terrible Twos. He would not take kindly to having Roy object to his plans.

He’d known what their arrangement was from the beginning and Stolas certainly hadn’t let him forget it. Blitz was supposed to return the book to him once a month, and he did. Blitz was supposed to thoroughly fuck him once a month, and he did. That was it.
Stolas was the one who’d decided that Blitz had outgrown his use, all because Blitz wasn’t in the mood to rail him after that clusterfuck at the club. This was not Blitz’s fault and he was going to make sure that pompous asshole knew it even if it cost Blitz his access to the book.

Summary
I allow myself only fifteen minutes in the shower. It's a steadfast rule, self-imposed back from my days with the Sweepers. Fifteen minutes and only lukewarm water. When you walk around with hair down to your ass, people tend to resent every second you spend in the shower. It gets in their head that it must take you forever to wash that much hair and suddenly every minute you spend in the bathroom seems to multiply in their minds. And yeah; it means I have to rush like hell. It's just one of those stereotypical things that I've had to deal with for years.
Maybe that's why I don't look back with any fondness on the first time the five of us shared a safe house together. I got hit with a half a dozen of those damned hackneyed accusations within days.

Summary
Freshly heartbroken thirty-something lawyer-slash-musician Jaskier meets two brilliant dominant people under different circumstances. Both are divorced, and both have a kid who loves horses. Neither of them is looking for anything serious, and neither cares much that there is another dom in Jaskier’s life.
When the truth is revealed, Jaskier finds himself tangled up in a love story that both of them insist ended long before him.
But Jaskier is insightful, and he knows better than to believe them.

Don’t be fooled, it’s mostly kinky sex and a little bit of family fluff – meet Geralt and Yennefer after years and years of couple’s counseling (and a divorce, but in their case, incompatibility does not mean falling out of love). Oh, and Ciri gets to be an almost-normal teenager who can geek out about indie music and horses and cook up drama with her girlfriend, because ToS and LotL broke my heart for her, so no rapy destiny stuff in here.
I got inspired reading TheAforementionedAction's delicious oneshot "Worthy", but there is no connection between the fics content wise.

Jaskier glanced towards Geralt apprehensively; his head lolled back. If he was conscious, he gave no sign of it.
"I want you to bond him."
Jaskier jerked, staring at the man in horror. "No."
Soul-bonding was intimate, a moment reserved in private between two people who had decided to share every joy and every sorrow. They would feel each other's pain, know if the other was on the brink of death. It was a bond that could only be forged with good intention, with the purest motive. There was no way to undo it. Bonding Geralt would mean surrendering half his soul to the Witcher, to experiencing every pain, and every woe. But worse than that. Witchers didn't have souls. Jaskier would be throwing away the greatest connection he could ever experience, for a man who would never be able to return it. Jaskier was romantic enough to admit that he wanted a romance of the ages, and a bond of certainty.
Not this.
"Let me make this easier for you: bond him, or I'll kill you."

Jaskier doesn’t actually know how much time has passed since the black-cloaked Nilfgaardians grab him after a performance in a shitty tavern in the backcountry of northern Kaedwen. He’d assumed--foolishly, apparently--that he was far enough north that any Nilfgaardian soldiers would be few and far between, likely just scouts or even deserters. It would have been hard to actually get any further north--the little backwater town where he’d been singing was just a day from the mountains. Anymore travel, and he’d find himself skirting the Trail up to Kaer Morhen, the Warlord’s Keep, and, well. He’s brazen, but not that brazen.
(or: a wandering bard bites off more than he can chew with the political ballads, accidentally makes friends with a princess in exile, and finds the Warlord of the North in his debt.)
