"Why do you look at me like that?" He questioned, his gaze directed pointedly at her.
"Like what?"
"Like you can't believe I'm real" She shuddered slightly at the notion. She could almost see the wonder painted over her features reflected back at her in his eyes. She knew she did a poor job hiding it, but how could she explain to him just how unreal he was? He'd been a fantasy in her head only some weeks ago, yet here he was, and it pulled the rug from beneath her feet every single time.
"You're my favorite work of art" she stated simply, keeping the layers of meaning behind her words hidden close to her heart.
