“I love you,” Akira states it so plainly that he sees Akechi freeze.
“You don’t— you can’t,” Akechi forces out. “I hate you.” He doesn’t though. Who kisses someone they hate? Who heals someone through a kiss if they wanted to kill them?
“But I do.”
Yet, it’s at that moment that Akira realizes that maybe the healing didn’t completely awaken his brain or his reaction speed. He loved the way the knight smiled at him. Reserved and sweet. Hesitant for fear of what eyes might watch the exchange, but the prince couldn't hold back how much joy that soared through his heart the moment he saw it. He couldn't hold back his own bright smile that was reserved only for his partner in life. It was more obvious at times than others. Sometimes in the middle of conversations with his retainer or his siblings, he would pause in the middle of his conversations just to stare and smile a little longer than necessary. To see the knight blush at the attention--a light flush painted cheeks and neck that made something flutter in the supposedly cold and callous prince's heart. They claim the prince softened with the castle knight coming into his life.
He would have to agree.

In truth, Silas was just relieved that after all this fighting, after all this bloodshed, Nohr and Hoshido finally believed in Corrin. He could see how much this war was straining Corrin. He’d lose sleep over it and pretend that everything was fine.
The war in Valla was a nightmare and it left Silas with too much room to think and wonder in that head of his. And as we know, it can form new relationships, and apparently, bring up a past that would rather be forgotten. Things are out of his hands more than ever and the simple knight from Nohr is starting to realize that perhaps things weren't as he made them seem in his mind.
Why is there a gap in his memory?
