Lying on his bed later that night, Herman stumbled on that flyer again in his photo roll. It was so plain, just white text on an abundantly colourful background, but it still made his hands shake. Was it nervousness? Or maybe…excitement?

Summary
Waterboy spends every day after work dreading the next. Being a hero is great, but the constant pressure he puts on himself begins to exacerbate his anxiety. Especially with Flambae berating and belittling him every chance he gets. Getting cursed seems to be just another tally on his exhaustingly long list of rotten luck. So how come things actually begin to improve for once? After all, if you've hit bottom, the only place you can go is up, right?
Flambae doesn't need anyone or anything. He has his family, after all, and a job he likes enough not to want to fall back into committing arson. Sure, he might butt heads occasionally, but it has never impacted his performance before, even when Robert continually threatens him to be nicer to Waterbitch. When he winds up taking home a stray cat after work, he can't even begin to fathom how this might just turn his world upside down.
Or: Waterboy gets cursed to turn into a cat at nightfall. It ironically ends up bringing him and Flambae closer.
