Summary
Left with only three other crew mates, it’s a ready expectation that Sanji will start fawning all over Robin in his usual obnoxious way. However, that’s not what happens. Instead, looking wild around the eyes in a way only someone who knows him well would recognize, the cook doesn’t break stride until he’s firmly within Zoro’s orbit and can wrap both hands around his upper arm, clinging tight.
“Hi, darling,” he chirps, his expression desperately conveying that Zoro needs to play along under pain of death. “Did you miss me?”

The waves are gnashing above the sea’s bottomless maw, and the timbers of the sinking galleon groan their own dirge – as far as this space of sea is concerned, the world is ending. Then there they are, balanced on the cusp of it, concerned only with how they exist relative to each other.
There’s an awful devotion to it, and it shouldn’t be romantic. But Sanji is hopeless. He’s always wanted a love like this.

“You’d want to?” Mista wasn’t always this curious, happy to float along through life and take what comes to him. Bruno sometimes hates what Giorno has awakened in the ones who remain. He tries very hard not to think about the new things curling and uncurling inside his own heart.
“I don’t see why not. Rome is full of history. It’s a beautiful city.” He knows he sounds like he’s writing the outline for a very shallow research paper. Mista allows himself to be deterred.
“Yeah, I guess you got a point there.” He actually sounds thoughtful. It’s generous. “I dunno, maybe I’m bein’ a pussy about it but I don’t like the idea of seein’ it again. Guess that’s why Giorno wanted me to go, huh?”
It’s rhetorical. Bruno doesn’t answer. His foot, one of the ones that had been solidly in the grave last time he’d been in the Eternal City, is leaden on the brake. -

Leone sighs, methodically looping white sports tape around his knuckles and palms. It’s a dead giveaway of his internal conflict, the reason Bruno will challenge him every time. In his most private moments, he dares to hope that one day Bruno will snap and drag him from that dingy basement, kicking and screaming.
But, for tonight: “Yes, I am.”
Bruno nods, curt, and pulls a slip of paper from his pocket. “Do your best, then. I put a lot of money on you.”
