Summary
“Good morning, sunshine.” Comes from the doorway, Trinity leaning against it with her arms crossed over her chest, already dressed for work.
“Good morning,” Victoria clears her throat when her voice comes out raspy. “You weren’t in bed when I woke up.” Despite how good Trinity looks leaning against the doorframe, she makes sure her frustration about the entire situation is clear in her tone.
“I know, I know.” Trinity pushes off of the doorframe and makes her way over to where Victoria still lays in bed, sitting gently on the edge. “You hardly ever sleep in, I didn’t want to wake you up. But I made you tea to make up for it.” A hand comes up, tucking a few wild strands of hair behind her ear before moving back and tracing a line from Victoria’s eyebrow down to her jaw. A frown forms on Trinity’s face. “You feelin’ okay?”
or,

“Dr. Mohan, this is Emery Walsh. She’s been assigned to keep you safe until law enforcement can guarantee there’s no longer any threat against you.”
She stands shorter than Samira by just a few inches, dark hair pulled back into a low bun. She isn’t dressed how one might expect her to be, in a dark suit and tie like they often portray in movies and television. Instead, she’s wearing a black t-shirt, sleeves hugging well defined arms and broad shoulders. The shirt is tucked into black slacks that are held up by a belt, a holster on her hip.
Oh, Christ.
Samira skips the pleasantries, “Is the gun really necessary?”
She can hear Dr. Robby let out a sigh, but her eyes don’t leave Emery. She can see the slight tug of her lips, “Based on the information I’ve been given, Dr. Mohan, and the contents of the letters you received, yes. The gun may be necessary.”

Summary

Emery whips her head around, brows pinched and a frown on her face. It came from Garcia, of course, who looks at her now with the same annoying smirk as before.
“Your girl?” Ellis asks, surprise on her face. She leans forward, forearms resting on the table, hands folded. “Since when do you have a girl?”
“I don’t.” Emery shakes her head, still glaring at Yolanda. “She’s just being annoying.”
Yolanda laughs and looks over at Parker, tilting her head towards Emery and crossing her arms. “She’s got a crush.”
or; after years of silent longing from afar, emery walsh and samira mohan spend a night together. what starts as something casual slowly turns into something more, and one of them decides to leave before the other can break their heart.

Laena freezes, “Is there a reason you’re just telling me this now?”
Alicent takes another bite of her salad, “I haven’t seen you in three days.”
Laena just shakes her head, “Excuses, Alicent. We both have phones. We have to celebrate this!”
Alicent looks at her like she’s grown a second head, “Why would we-“
“Because you’re free! At least for the next three days. You can go out! Get drunk! Maybe even find something or someone to help you.. unwind?”
Alicent hisses, “Will you lower your voice when suggesting I find someone who isn’t my husband to sleep with?”
“I’m texting everyone right now.” Laena picks up her phone, fingers moving rapidly, “We’re going out tonight. No excuses.”
Alicent looks down at her salad, pretends she’s setting up the perfect bite, “Rhaenyra, as well?”
Laena looks at her and smirks, “I knew it.”

When she turns around from her place at the door, she’s greeted with boxes. Well, two boxes. JC turns the corner with a suitcase in his hands and freezes when they make eye contact.

“I should probably go to the bathroom anyway, try to clean up as much as I can.” She looks down at herself, at her soaked shirt. She’s starting to feel the stickiness on her chest. “Not very fun being all wet and sticky, eh?”
She knows how it sounds as soon as it leaves her mouth, and she wants the floor to swallow her whole.
She feels her face start to warm, cheeks no doubt turning red from embarrassment and she tries to look anywhere but at the woman’s face.
“I don’t know, in my experience, wet and sticky can be very fun. It’s what you make of it, I suppose.”

Summary
Beatrice doesn’t know why she’s here.
Well, that’s not entirely true. She knows good and well why she’s here, at this god forsaken frat house with music that’s too loud and people that are too drunk. Despite her best efforts to avoid the place, to just stay in and study, maybe watch a nature documentary and have a cup of tea before bed, one look from Ava and she was asking for the address. As if she couldn’t hear the bass pumping from three blocks away. As if there were any other house on the block with people stumbling about in the front lawn.
Or, Beatrice gets dragged to a party, but there’s always an underlying motive with her friends.
