Summary
After season 4 volume 2, Steve finds himself alone with his thoughts, some of those thoughts might not be good for him. A bottle of Whiskey in hand and his bat in the corner, Steve is resigned to thinking that he's only wanted when the world is ending. Nancy shows up to check on him, picking up the pieces, proving him wrong and finally bringing some closure to the end of their relationship.

Summary
Steve could only stare at their hands atop the table, Nancy’s having grabbed his soon after they’d sat down. Her hand was wrapped around his fingers, his thumb brushing occasional reassuring strokes across the back of hers.
It didn’t mean anything, he knew. It was just a sign of comfort at most, a reminder that she wasn’t alone. And he was okay with that. He’d hold her hand as long as she let him and would cherish every second.
Or: Nancy cleans Steve's wounds, and Steve comforts Nancy after her episode with Vecna.
