Summary
On the edge of the Empire of Angels in far Karelia stands Zvyozda Castle, where humans are ruled over by the angels they fear and resent. Here lives Felicity, the librarian's daughter.
Karelia is once again under siege by its long-time enemy, the Skalvians. These fierce warriors defeated Zvyozda fifteen years ago and murdered many of its angel leaders. Oliver's father was killed in that battle, and his mother fled with her children to far away Celestia where they would be safe.
His father's last words - a command to find out who betrayed them and avenge his death - remain in Oliver’s mind. When he learns of Zvyozda's new troubles, he returns to his home to find it vastly changed from what it had been - with enemies both outside and within the castle's walls.
Raised by a man who hates angels, Felicity trusts none of them, but the seriousness of the danger that her city faces forces her into helping Oliver with his mission to save her people and find the traitor who betrayed all of them.

Summary
It's been 26 years since the failure of UNAMIR, since Agent Winona Kirk's cell was decimated and the children there were captured - most of which they spent repairing things next-over in Monrovia. From war to war, but life has eased these days. Jim lives on a farm in Iowa by himself. He grows corn and builds robots to keep himself company. His best friend is his doctor and there's probably a problem somewhere in there. He can't be arsed to give a shit. And then a space-ship obliterates his barn to smithereens. Did we mention the space-ship part? Right. So, Spock's an alien. So there's that.
