He and Jamil were hardly friends, to even think about that was entering uncharted territory. In fact, Kalim didn't want to think about it. He didn’t want to dig up those feelings again, those feelings he buried long ago to save himself from the pain and sorrow of being the sole cause of Jamil’s misery.
