The timer goes down so fast, he has no time to decide on any other plan of action. He blasts heat vision through his glasses, and incinerates the bomb before it can explode. Clark begins to register time the same as everyone else again, and he sees the little black mark on the ground where the bomb was a few seconds ago. His coworkers heads all swivel to him, boring holes through his head. He blinks, and sees the singed and blackened glass half an inch in front of his eyes, surrounding the hole melted through the middle.
Now he'd gone and done it.Clark exposes himself as Superman in front of the whole Daily Planet newsroom.

“Is there something wrong with you?” Akechi asks, leaning over one of the cheap counters pushed against Yuuki’s kitchen walls. If he stuck his foot out behind him a few inches, he’d hit the other set of cabinets, up under Yuuki’s sink. The water goes tap, tap, tap in the basin, and Yuuki echoes it with his feet against the cabinet.
“What do you mean?” he asks.
“You’re a little too comfortable with my whole… situation.”
“We’ve all got our issues.” Yuuki says, when silence stretches between them a touch too long. He knocks his foot into Akechi’s hip and follows his lead, staring off into space instead of him. “You show me yours; I’ll show you mine.”
