Summary
This is the way the world works: the sun rises in the east. The strong come out on top. Bakugou Katsuki rockets through life like a comet and Midoriya Izuku stumbles after. If he believed in such things Katsuki would say it was written in the stars. That some god of war had looked at him and said this one. That he’d been passed along a line to get his blessings – genius, willpower, fearless ambition – and dropped off on earth.
Then, of course, there is the question of Deku. The spitfire runt. Deku, no matter what the world does to him, never stops hoping.
Until, of course, he eventually does.
(Katsuki broke him. Snapped him in half like a twig and now has to scramble to put Deku back together. “We can do this, Deku," he says slowly. "There are so many mysteries that never got put to bed. Criminals roaming around looking to hurt people and you and me, we can fix that.”
There’s a long pause. The comforter slips a little off Deku’s skinny shoulders and drowns him. “You mean like a team?”
In that split second, Katsuki makes a decision he’s never even considered. He swallows his pride. “Yeah, Deku. We’d be a team.”)

Summary
Izuku can hear muffled screams and what sounds like fighting. His instincts and the pain coursing through him tell him to be scared, but as strong arms pick him up with skill that could only come from practice, he feels nothing but safe.
There’s a blur of color and light and Izuku hears shouting close to his ear. Katsuki’s angry voice shouting orders he thinks. Then he’s repositioned onto someone’s back and there’s smaller explosions and wind in his face and everything eventually fades completely to black.
When Izuki is injured in an accident, Katsuki is there at just the right time and in just the right place... and doesn't stay away. It's luck at it's finest. A Flowershop AU.

Summary
The bell above the door clangs, and Persephone doesn’t bother to look up from the narcissus she squeezes into the last wedding bouquet. It’s her mother, she figures, back from the next door bakery with lunch. It isn’t until she hears a voice, low and male, edged with frustration and seriousness at first, but under the rough skin of it, softness, as he describes the bind he’s in that she turns around. He looms large in the doorway and he needs her.
Her help, rather. She swallows, remembering what her mom has always said. Net 30, and even that’s pushing it. Only with prior accounts, only with people from this side of town who we know, Persephone. It’s what Demeter’s always warned her about: getting in too deep, going off the books… the death of so many other small businesses in this economy. So it surprises her when she offers to create the arrangements for this dark stranger.
