Summary: While Tyrenndor’s First Queen is my guilty pleasure fanfic (which will be continued), it has gotten me thinking about what would happen in the book had Tyrenndor actually gained independence. I’ve concluded that, while most things would remain the same, these things would be different: 1) Tyrenndor would have opened its own rider’s college where all their kids (without their rebel marks) would have gone and 2) Lillith would not have sent Violet into the Rider’s Quadrant if she didn’t have Xaden to protect her kid. Which means Violet would have gone into the Scribe’s Quadrant and her mother probably would have let slip that Violet’s father was studying feathertails before his passing, making Violet investigate them herself and keeping her safely inside the wards. But we all know that a certain feathertail would have been quite ready to allow Violet the ability to study her. Which starts a slippery road that leaves Violet still bonded to both dragons and with Xaden’s ring on her finger. Think of this fic as Tyrenndor’s First Queen if I took it seriously.

    Summary

Dr. Xaden Riorson knows what burnout feels like—losing patients, raging at hospital politics, drowning in guilt he can’t shake. A “vacation” in Hawaii with Garrick and Liam is supposed to help, but when they encounter an emergency rescue, Xaden finds himself unraveling all over again.

Then there’s Violet Sorrengail: luminous, maddening, impossibly free. What begins as a one-night connection refuses to stay in Hawaii. Texts become late-night confessions, conferences turn into stolen moments, and suddenly Xaden is faced with the one thing he doesn’t think he deserves—someone who won’t let him run.

Burnout. Bravery. And someone who wants him to believe he’s worth saving.

    Summary

Part I: The Duke and His Friend Violet
During a tense diplomatic visit to Calldyr, Duke Fen Riorson encounters a curious child—Violet Sorrengail, the youngest daughter of his rival general. Frail in body but fierce in mind, she disarms him with her unfiltered honesty and impossible hope. In her laughter, he finds something he thought he’d lost: light. But fate is not kind to dreamers, and even friendship can be a dangerous thing for a man bound by duty and war.

Part II: The Little Duke and Duchess
Fen wakes in Calldyr to the echo of a nightmare—one that felt too real to dismiss. Was it memory, prophecy… or a message from the goddess Amari herself?

Determined to change the fate he’s seen, Fen takes a different path—one where his son will not inherit pain, but the chance for something purer. He dares to imagine a world where ten-year-old Xaden Riorson meets eight-year-old Violet Sorrengail not as strangers divided by politics, but as children bound by something timeless.

But destiny is never simple. When the little duke and the little duchess finally meet, what begins as innocence may ignite the kind of spark that reshapes legacies.
