Mei turned around, giving her full attention to Hua. Their hair was disheveled slightly, and they clearly had something to say with the urgency in their voice. Was there possibly an attack? Eyes sharpening, hand instinctively going to the hilt of her sword, she made eye contact with the Commander.
“What is it? Is everyone okay?” she responded, stepping closer to the azure-haired knight.
“Oh! Yes, my apologies,” they responded, shaking their head to calm the captain down once they put the pieces of her thoughts together. “You were busy training the newest soldiers, and we missed our morning sparring session together. I wanted to see if you would be willing to do it before turning in for the night.”
