She turns around, every instinct from her spartan upbringing stopping her from flinching when she sees Zeus standing in front of her bedroom door. But her brain catches on to his words.
She levels her coldest glare at him, absolutely uncaring that he was a god-king of gods. It didn’t matter, not if Odysseus was dead.
“What. do. You. mean. He’s not coming back.” Every word is enunciated so well that not even a baby could misunderstand. Every word dares him to strike her down.

Summary
The ship came to their shores in the third year after the war ended.
One ship, just one, and Penelope stood on the clifftop near her husband’s palace and looked down upon the harbor below, and clenched her fist in her himation until it was wrapped around her so tight that it was imprinting its weave pattern onto her skin. Just one ship, and the men she could see disembarking were too few to be fifty, and none turned to hare instantly up the hill towards her.
Penelope turned away to head into the palace, to wait for the bad news to find her.
(odysseus chooses to sacrifice himself, and penelope chooses not to let him go)

Summary

With a gentle touch, he nestled the flower into her hair, just behind her ear. His fingers lingered for a moment longer than necessary or perhaps it was just Penelope daydreaming.
"In fact, I find it rather heartening — so many colors under this dreary snow. You are anything but ridiculous.” He continued with a smile and a caring look.
Heavens, Penelope, do speak. This is most embarrassing. As though she had never conversed with another human being in her entire life. But this isn’t conversing is it ?
She stayed speechless as she watched him carefully arranging the flower. Looking away would have been bizarre yet locking gaze with him was deeply unsettling. She tried to blink the feeling away whilst Colin gave her a satisfied look.
He was clearly unaware of the state he was putting herself in as he took a step back to admire his handiwork.
“You are a springtime amidst winter’s frost, Pen."

Summary
What I wanted to write was a quick one-shot that explored the idea of Harry being the biological son of Voldemort, only Voldemort doesn't know he has a son and is also as evil as ever. Meanwhile, Harry is just a charismatic kid with a snake and ridiculously powerful magic.
It turned into a series rewrite.
Here's book four.
Features: a Harry Potter that has a bad feeling about this one, an Oliver Wood who's just heard of this new show called Friends and he's about to make that everyone else's problem, a Tom Riddle that has a REALLY bad feeling about this one, a Draco Malfoy that has done really pretty admirably not being dragged into the narrative for the last couple books if you really think about it, and both Sirius and Remus who are just. They're doing their best, they really are.
