Summary
It's the 1960s NY and Patrick works in advertising at Rose Advertising LLC. He can sell the clients on anything -- even if it's something they already have. Then one day he is asked to give up his usual partnership with Ted Mullens in order to give the new guy, David a chance. The kid's art is great, but Patrick doesn't know how to be nice and nurturing.
OR
Patrick comes across as a cold asshole because he's terrified of revealing his secret -- he's a gay man during a time when it's illegal. Meanwhile, David is a confidently, sure of himself individual who Patrick wishes he could be more like.
