Summary
The Autobots were pitiless, Soundwave thought to himself as he stared at the thing a snickering Sideswipe had laid down on the ground.
It was soft. It was plushy. It was purple. It was… bringing forward disturbing memories of one of the Decepticons’ weirdest plans ever since they had awoken on this accursed planet.
Or wherein Soundwave, mind still sharp despite his sudden and unwelcome de-aging (which isn't totally to blame on Autobot Wheeljack, despite what one may think), muses and Does Not Like the situation, nor his temporary (and very much loathed) guardians' dubious care. And if he ever finds out who was truly responsible for the Giant Purple Griffin or its monstruous plushie equivalent, he's going to shot them, with prejudice.

Summary
You needed an escape. Life had taken a turn, and you were stuck. No way forward, no way back, everything crumpling around you like a house of paper.
Then your Uncle Fowler offered you a job that came in answer to your prayers, because it offered shelter, food, and income. The only catch?
You might just die trying to live.
Because Ratchet needed a medical assistant, and the Autobots needed someone who it didn't matter if their mind got read by the ominous prisoner held so carefully confined in a secured cell.
So, that's how you met Soundwave. Big scary bad guy all locked up and rusting away, but that's not how things stay between you.

Another wandering tale. Whimsical. Less structured and edited than my more serious novels. Yet another tale written for fun and emotional therapy. This tale has a lot more emotional angst and hurt, especially due to the nature of the imprisonment / captor circumstances.

“My name is Optimus Prime,” he said, squaring his shoulders. “I am here to look for the next bearer of the Matrix, the next Prime who will be anointed as the civic and spiritual leader of the Autobots. And I have found him.”
“ - well, frag me,” aforementioned future Prime muttered, folding chrome-armored arms across his expansive chest. “My bad, Megs. Looks like we found a real loony.”
