After Elspeth's angelic return during the invasion of New Phyrexia the Praetor Elesh Norn has fled to the Seedcore, hoping to hide somewhere in New Phyrexia's layers until the planeswalker invaders are forced to retreat by the metal and flesh plane's innate hostility. Unfortunately, Jetstream Sam. Bottom text. The statistical Brazilian male has somehow found himself in New Phyrexia and is being shown a very, very good time.
Norn's arteries may run with oil, but there will be bloodshed regardless.

“You know, running the Cooperative Testing Initiative taught me a valuable lesson: applying variables in testing is vital for proper Science. And I thought: taking on a hands-on approach could prove beneficial.”
She pauses dramatically, lowering herself down just so. Despite its brightness, the optic does not warm her skin like she wishes the sun would.
“I would implement you into the Cooperative Testing Initiative. I don’t have hands, but I am a supercomputer, so it is a non-issue at most."
AKA: In the pursuit of Science, GLaDOS gives herself hands. And legs. And a portal gun. She might as well make Chell's life hell while she's at it.

“You probably do not think this is cruel,” GLaDOS says suddenly, not taking her gaze from the mouse for a second, “After all, you have such enormous capacity for cruelty, I doubt you can recognise mistreatment even when it is right before your eyes. However, a normal human with basic abilities of empathy, love, and compassion, would correctly identify my treatment of this animal as cruel.”
Chell says nothing.
“However, if this experiment were to be submitted to an ethics committee, it would receive full approval. Cruelty, in and of itself, is not wholly banned in science, after all. It is simply needless cruelty, the kind you excel in, that is not permitted. What I am doing is necessary for testing conditions. What I do is the only way for knowledge to progress.”
