Summary
Lady Kathryn, better known as Katy, lived a simple life in Ireland. That is until her father was accused of treason, and she left home to plead for his life. Katy soon finds herself in the midst of a looming civil war, away from the safety of her family, and a pawn to the ruling power. Katy is forced to navigate a world where families turn on one another as the Houses of York and Lancaster fight for the throne.
Author's note: While many of the characters are real people, creative liberties have been taken including respective ages of characters and historical accuracy of events. Katy is my own original character and is based on no particular woman of the time.

Summary
Henry and Julia Beauchamp were born and raised in London and they thought they would always raise their family there until Henry Beauchamp finds the perfect job in Scotland at "Broch Tuarach" a family-owned whiskey distillery. After accepting the job The Beauchamp's move to Lallybroch, a small town owned and managed by Brian Fraser and his wife Ellen.
Claire Beauchamp is their 10 year old daughter who is terrified to move to Scotland and leave her best friends and the only life she's ever known behind. She learns fairly quickly that Scotland has new friends to offer her when she meets the Fraser children, Willie who is 14, Jenny who is 12, and their younger brother Jamie, who is 10 just like her.
This will be a story of friendships, young and old, of growing up and learning hard lessons and finding your soulmate before you even understand what love is.

Summary
In which I attempt to answer the question: what if Thorin and Bilbo met before the formation of the Company? How does their first meeting change when there is no dangerous quest looming over them? (A partial AU where most of the canon events happen the same way except they are married the entire time).
I have all ten chapters outlined and most of them will include prompts from a Year of Bagginshield. Expect updates about once a month (I hope!).
