Summary
Ling Xin never thought his life could get any worse.
He was wrong.
After years of abuse, he makes one desperate wish: to be free of his father. What follows is a night of blood, fire, and death- one that should have ended his life for good.
Instead, Ling Xin awakens as something that should not exist: a wandering soul without a body, trapped between the living and the dead. A mysterious stranger has saved him, but offers no explanation for why.
Remaining in the mortal world comes at a price.
Ling Xin must learn to survive without a body- and control the darkness awakening within him. Here, death is not an ending. It is a kingdom with its own rules, and those who defy them are hunted.
Among the dangerous souls and unreadable allies he encounters is Xuan Ying, a quiet, unpredictable boy whose presence seems to draw Ling Xin deeper into a mystery he cannot escape. A masked figure watches from the shadows, knowing far too much about Ling Xin’s past- and perhaps about what he has become.
