Summary
This is a continuation of what started as "The Kindricks Series". This takes place after Brotherly Love as Daryl and Merle continue their journey together as brother's trying to find their place in the world. I am moving away from the original title involving the Kindricks as they will not be involved in this segment.
Daryl and Merle have moved on, leaving their past behind them. Daryl will age during this segment, my thoughts are to work through character building for the brothers as the series continues. This is a writing in progress, and as always, I never know where this journey may take us. Hopefully, you all enjoy the ride. -

Summary
It was only meant to be a quick pharmacy run for some cold meds for Beth. Instead, Daryl Dixon runs into a teenage boy with a walker bite in his leg. During a desperate moment the boy reveals what he has been protecting - sending a little girl running right into Daryl’s arms.
Vienna is four years old, frightened, and alone. She likes the colors pink and silver, finger paints, and not listening to screams. She likes the grumpy man who rescued her too, even if he tries to pass her off to others.
Daryl is not fixing to be anybody's father or even uncle, so he leaves her in the care of folks he thinks can do the job properly. He doubts that he ever could, or should. Yet Vienna keeps bouncing back to him. When the prison falls, he realizes he must take her or she will be alone.
Somehow, the two become a tiny family all on their own and Daryl’s heart becomes that little bit fuller.
