Summary
Yang falls into the void. Then Ruby. Then Blake. Fighting alone against Cinder, the last living member of Team RWBY puts every ounce of Dust and Aura she has into a Time Dilation glyph. But instead of going out in a blaze of glory like she expects, Weiss finds herself on the airship to Beacon, back at the start of everything.
This is a story told from the perspective of everyone else, as they meet Weiss Schnee for the second first time. Weiss's original world and all her old relationships are gone, washed away like footprints on the shore. But that doesn't mean she can't retrace them.

The tightness that already clenched at her chest doubled as Ruby was suddenly struck with a violent coughing fit. Her eyes widened in surprise as a single white rose petal floated from her mouth and into her open palm.

She’s performing in Vale tonight and Dad won’t let me go!” She grumbles, staring at the plate sitting before her. “I asked for tickets when I first heard she was coming to Vale, he said no because Dawsbury is too far away from Patch.” She lifts the fork up to her mouth. “He’s also paranoid because of the attack that happened in Mistral last year.”
“Well,” Yang says with an unreadable smile, “what if I told you that I have tickets?” Ruby looks up at her with an expression of disbelief, unwilling to believe her sister. Her jaw drops when Yang pulls two tickets out of seemingly nowhere, “You’re welcome.”

As soon as Ruby passes through Weiss’ wall and into her room, Weiss throws a glass of water at her. It, of course, falls to the ground, and Ruby watches the fluffy-looking carpet soak up the liquid.
Clicking her tongue, she looks up at Weiss. “Did you just throw water at me?”
Weiss looks back and forth between stained carpet and the now-empty glass with a glare. “It’s holy, supposedly.”
Ruby’s jaw drops. “You think I’m, like, a demon or something?”

Ruby dreads sleeping, because what that means for her is astral-projecting around Vale aimlessly while her body gets the rest it deserves.
Then, she finds a girl who can see her in her astral form. And Ruby no longer dreads sleeping.

When Blake first opened her quaint little flower shop, it had become a home away from home. Her escape.
It's everything she could have ever hoped for, the warm sun shining through the windows, illuminating each and every bright petal that blooms around their disks. Getting to greet people all who have one thing in common – stopping by Red like Roses to grab a gift for someone they love.
It's only when an unexpectedly charming customer begins to frequent that the shop stops being warm and welcoming. It becomes special. Something that brought them together. A thread he tugs on until it's unwound. A thread he toys with and unravels and stretches to its limit.
From then on, Blake is never the same. Not as cheerful - the colourful tint to her cheeks gone, left ghostly. When the door chimes, the usual calm, peaceful demeanour she has is nowhere to be found – a walking corpse faces each customer with her best customer service smile.
This customer is no different. The door chimes. Closes with a clatter. A ray of sunshine bounds through the windows – but that isn't the only sunshine in the shop.
