Bilbo paused and raised an eyebrow. "Oh? How intimate?"
"Well," muttered Dwalin, still brushing his beard, "you might as well ask to stick your hand down my trousers."

Summary
The Shire faced another Fell Winter, and somehow this one was so much worse. But worst of all, it was followed by a Diseased Summer. The crops are dead and dying, and Bilbo knows there will be no food for another Winter. So he finds the solution, the hobbits must move to Erebor. It takes a long time in the middle of summer, but they manage, and not without loss. Bilbo revists the many locations of his adventure, and with them comes many waves of grief and regret, until he's finally at Erebor and the crux of his emotions and losses. Now he has to face the empty spot Thorin has left behind and learn to live another new life here under the mountain.
