Summary

With nothing to do to pass the time, and an unlimited amount of energy, Hinata finds an unlikely texting buddy in his volleyball partner Kageyama. But it's just texting, it can't matter that much, can it?

Summary
A rare quiet envelops them as they sit side by side on Kageyama’s bedroom floor, but Kageyama’s brain is whirring so loud he can’t think. His gaze is pulled—helplessly, hopelessly—over and over to Hinata’s hands, the shape of them, the way they move, the flex of tendons along his wrist. Have they always been so agile? So pretty?
Desperate for any distraction at all, he opens his mouth to challenge Hinata to a Mario Kart rematch, but what comes out is:
“Will you braid my hair?”
OR: Kageyama discovers one of Hinata's hidden talents.

Summary
Hinata sends Kageyama good morning and good night texts, he tells Kageyama stories about his roommate, his job, and about volleyball. Always volleyball. It never gets annoying, or overwhelming, or boring. In fact, it doesn’t do enough to soothe the ache of missing his best friend.
Hinata also sends pictures. So many pictures. Too many pictures.
The pictures are usually silly and cute, (like Hinata, his brain supplies unhelpfully), snapshots of his sunny days in Rio. But between the pictures of sunsets on the beach and funny road signs and new recipes Hinata is trying out, he sends pictures of himself.
The problem is: Kageyama likes the pictures a little too much.
Or: Hinata gets unbearably hot during his years in Brazil, and it makes Kageyama open his stupid lust-addled mouth to say all the wrong things. The way Hinata responds, he wonders - hopes - that they're actually all the right things.

Summary
a nautical phrase: to prepare for a difficulty or crisis.
For the last few years, Kageyama Tobio's life as a pirate captain on the high seas has run like this: find the loot, score the loot, and then chase after Hinata Shouyou, who has stolen the treasure from him to get it back.
Until a mutiny forces Kageyama - out of options and out of a ship - to partner up with his rival captain in pursuit of the storied treasure, The Asteria. Kageyama would like nothing less, but left without a choice he reluctantly agrees to Hinata's terms. Their voyage takes them on a journey that's far from smooth sailing, as they both learn what it truly means to be free.
(A pirate AU; Hinata is too reckless and Kageyama just can't let go. Somewhere along the line, they'll need to meet in the middle.)

“How long has it been?” Kageyama asks. “Since you found me?”
“About four days now. You’ve been sleeping for most of it, Kageyama-san—we had to keep checking on you and making sure you were still breathing!”
“Yes, I suppose I did sleep a lot, since I nearly died.” He pauses, regards Shouyou, and then says, with much less annoyance, “I’m sorry, but I don’t remember your name.”
“That's okay,” Shouyou replies, because he wasn’t expecting anything less from Kageyama after his rough boarding. “It’s Hinata. Hinata Shouyou.”
“Well, thank you, Hinata-san,” Kageyama says, though it seems like he would rather be doing anything else than thanking Shouyou for something. “For saving my life. Not for making me think you were undressing me to commit nefarious crimes.”
“Oh, so you remember thinking I was taking advantage of you, but not my name?”
“I wasn’t going to need to know your name while cutting your hands off.”
Or, Shouyou (& Co.) rescues Kageyama from the ocean during a storm, immediately gets off on the wrong foot with him, and discovers that magic and Fate often reveal themselves when least expected

If there’s one exception, there are more coming. And Hinata is terrified of letting what he has slip through his fingers, returning to the self he was in elementary school. It makes Hinata grip what he has all the tighter in his hands, but begs the question: for almost as long as he can remember, he’s been surrounded by people, endlessly liked—but why?
Is it all because of the wish he made? And if it is, does anyone really like him at all?
Hinata buries the question deep within him.
It grows anyway.
Or: as a child, Hinata wishes for nothing else but to be liked, and his wish is heard. But Kageyama is always the exception.

Summary
Kageyama blinks once before a grin of his own spreads over his face. Shouyou’s breath halts in his lungs at the sight, and he wills for time to stop, just so that he can drink it in. He sees it sometimes when they’re playing - Kageyama’s fierce smile when they pull a combo off just right, when they show their opponents how possible the impossible can really be. But then there’s another serve, another rally, and the moment is gone.
'Shame,' Shouyou thinks to himself, as he lets his eyes roam over Kageyama’s stupidly happy face, taking in the creases that are from joy rather than frowning for a change. 'It’s a really nice smile.'

"... You are covered in paint,” Kageyama adds, once he stops in front of Hinata. A tiny crease appears between his brows, and he sweeps his eyes up and down Hinata, assessing him.
Hinata does his best not to shiver. The guy has nice eyes, okay? They’re a very fetching shade of blue. He should know, he works with paint for a living.
“Part of the job,” he says eventually, once he manages to summon his voice.

Hinata Shouyou is a decorator hired by a new client - the unfairly hot and weirdly grumpy Kageyama Tobio - to paint his living room and fix a few cupboard doors. The job should take him two days. Somehow, it takes him an entire week.

“So you’re looking to be married, is that right?” the man asks, his gappy, toothy grin spreading even wider.
Shouyou lets out a little coo as he gazes at the rings. Luck is real! He can practically feel his eyes bulging in his head as he slaps Kageyama’s stomach behind him with the back of his hand. “Kageyama! Kageyama! Rings!”
Kageyama shuffles around – probably partly to escape Shouyou’s thwacking hand – to stand by his side instead, leaning down to peer at the small velvet box. “Rings,” he says, eloquently.
“Is that a yes?” the man needles.
“Nnnyes,” Kageyama replies, before Shouyou can, his words slurred between confirming and denying.
Shouyou elbows him irritably. “Pick a side!” he hisses. “Don’t you wanna be volleyball married?”

In which Hinata and Kageyama get incredibly drunk during a night out with Team Japan in the week leading up the Olympics. They wake up the next morning apparently having gotten married - complete with matching rings that, no matter what they try, just will not come off.
