Summary
By coincidence more than anything Harry Styles decides to take part in an online 'Secret Santa' event after returning from months of touring the world with his music. He wants to give something back to someone without revealing who he is.
Too bad that gifting is personal for Harry. He ends up finding the person that was drawn for him, using a secret identity, and finds him the perfect gift - or so he thinks.

Fun beautiful read. Really enjoyed it. Read quickly. Ed!!! Crazy fool. What was he thinking from the beginning? Like he could just give a stranger a gift like that, and it would be accepted without question! But of course, Harry has such a big heart. Then he remains an idiot for his next plan. Louis so sweet with a heart of gold. So right to be skeptical. Full of hope yet heartbreaking too.

Louis turned the corner to head to Niall and Lewis’ music shop, and slammed right into someone.
“Shit,” Louis gasped, gripping the person’s shoulders in an attempt to remain standing. “God, I’m so sorry!”
“No, I’m sorry,” the man said. “Uh, you steady?”
“Oh, yeah. Sorry again.” Louis blinked a few times and then took a step back. It was only then that he finally glanced up to the man’s eyes. They were a clear, bright green, and curly brown hair fell onto his forehead.
“I should probably…” The man trailed off, motioning towards the antique shop behind Louis.
“Right, sorry,” Louis apologized again, stepping aside.
“It’s alright. Have a good day.”
“You too,” Louis replied as the man disappeared around the corner.
By the age of 30, Louis' entire life trajectory had changed from what he'd thought it would be. He moved back to the town he grew up in and did his best to pull himself and his life back together again.
Four years, seven months, and sixteen days after the day that changed everything, Louis turns a corner and literally runs into the man who just might change it all again.

Short and sweet to me. Would’ve loved to have this turn into a much longer fix to enjoy some of the scenes in their detail get to experience them instead of just assuming what happened in those moments. So well crafted and able to get deep into Louis as the main character and where his actions and thoughts came from and his development throughout the journey. Lots of love here for Lewis Capaldi and Niall as the best BFF ever!

Summary
On the surface, it looks like Louis Tomlinson has the perfect life; after all, he has the whole package: a white picket fence house (well, his doesn’t technically have a white picket fence, but work with him), a wife, a daughter and a dog. He has it all and he’s not even 30, yet.
On the surface, he could be the happiest man in the world.
The thing is, he never wanted this life. There was this boy, see, this Harry Styles, whose arrival made Louis question everything he thought he knew about himself. Before Louis could pursue it, though, before he could be brave and ask the boy out, one moment of bad luck on prom night, one single lapse of judgment, shaped his life in a way he never would have chosen. Between doing the right thing or turning into his own absent father, he knew what he had to do, even if it meant burying his dreams under the weight of a premature adulthood.
That is, until he receives an invitation for his school’s ten year reunion and sees that Harry will attend.
Could it be his second chance at happiness? At what cost?

One of the best ever for me. Laughter and to much quiet sobbing. Beautiful characters of L and H. And their 1st meeting and knowing the were meant to be. But then their selfless breakup and letting go. To their first sight of each other 5 yrs later. Both w significant others. And how they’ve tried to heal their own hearts and work together again as friends. Moving real timeless 5/5. Won’t soon forget.

Louis breaks away from his grip with a petulant huff and pushes him back with two fingers.
