Summary
“Wilbur?” Tommy whispered, gently pushing himself forward with his palms. The movement took an unnatural amount of effort, but the way his leg twisted to drag on the floor was grounding, the pain routing him to reality as he blinked away the remnants of sleep from his foggy mind.
His brother immediately looked up at the name, a raw mixture of relief and agony encompassing his face as blood trickled down his chin. His eyes scanned up and down, checking for any injuries that Tommy may possess. The instant his gaze landed on his leg, the fabric soaked with blood, and the cuts that littered his arms, he gasped.
“Darling, what did they do to you?” Wilbur choked, leaping forward to wrap Tommy in a hug.

Tommy was handed a small flyer in printed in black and white, with the words “POETRY NIGHT - OPEN MIC” splayed across the front in bubbled font. He fumbled with his binder as he took it, eyes wide as he said, “are you sure? I mean, I love poetry and all, but I don’t think-I’m not sure—what if I can’t write poetry?”
Mr. Sam’s dark eyes softened, and he reached out to place a hand on Tommy’s shoulder, squeezing it gently. “Everyone has to start somewhere; every poet, from me to Rudy Francisco, started off without knowing a clue about what we were doing. Tommy, it’s not about if you can or cannot write poetry, it’s about if you want to.”

Summary
When Wilbur, Phil, and Technoblade left for a trip up north, they never meant to leave Tommy home alone for so long. They expected him to be mad, they expected for him to yell at them.
The last thing they expected was to be thrown into the brutal murder case of their youngest.
Now they have to tackle the grief of abandoning Tommy in his time of need, and dig to find out who killed him. And as Wilbur listens through his collection of voicemails left by his brother, Tommy may not be as innocent as he thought he was.
