Summary
The war is won but the long journey back to UA is not a clear path and Bakugo can only count his losses on one hand. How hard does he have to fight to catch up, how long will it eat him alive. All he has to do is hold out his hand.Or Bakugo spends months recovering in hospital until he gets back to class where he realises he has feelings for Deku and they hurt like hell. Thankfully Deku’s pretty good at dealing with pain and can’t stand to see him hurt. Now if only Deku was better at asking for help with his own pain.

When Eri’s sacrifice gifts everything back to him, nothing is quite the same and some hurts are too heavy to carry quietly. While Kacchan remains in hospital, Deku does everything he can to get Kacchan back on the path to being a hero, holding the secret hope that he may get to hold his heart when it heals.
