“I’m gay,” Will says, matter of factly. There is silence for several seconds as everyone processes.
“Does that mean you want to date me then?” Mike blurts out. It comes out all wrong, and he immediately wishes he could take it back. Will stiffens visibly, his face hardening in a way that makes Mikes stomach drop.
“Just because I’m gay doesn’t mean I suddenly want to date every guy I know, Mike. Don’t worry, I won’t hit on you, you’re safe.” His voice is cold and Mike feels his heart shatter into tiny pieces.Or:
After Will comes out to Mike and the rest of the party, Mike asks a seemingly insensitive question. What Will doesn’t realize is that Mikes question is serious, and he’s was really hoping Wills answer would be yes.

Summary
After an unusual first meeting (involving vandalism and an unknowing getaway driver) and an unexpected second encounter, Remus Lupin and Sirius Black decide to work together to take down BlackCrystal, an evil and corrupt corporation that may or may not be run by the Black family. Things don’t go as planned, romance occurs, and no one dies.

Summary
“Looks like I bit you.” Will tilts his head to get a better look. All Mike can do is stare at him. His fluffy hair at the front, clumped pieces at the back where he’d slid his fingers in a mere few minutes before. His pretty green eyes that look hazel or even brown in this light, the dark circles he gets when he drinks framing them like intricate paintings. A satisfied, bloody smile.
Mike isn’t satisfied. He swallows thickly, choking down the words 'don’t you want more?'
Or: Will dresses as a vampire for a college halloween party, but Mike thinks his costume isn’t bloody enough. Will lets him fix it. Mike goes into a crisis.

Summary
Steve is drunk.
He doesn’t know what time it is, anymore. He remembers Robin leaving, reminds promising her he’ll be okay, but that must’ve been hours ago, now. He watches as the condensation on his beer drips onto his thigh, making the light wash denim darken, and pretends he isn’t listening in on the conversation across the room.
It’s hard to make out with the party in full swing, with U2 still blaring from the speakers and a hoard of people between them, but Steve’s gotten good at reading body language. At reading expressions. At knowing who is a threat and who isn’t, and the three talking to Eddie Munson right now?

Steve Harrington never planned for Eddie Munson.
Steve was supposed to marry his high school sweetheart, have 2.5 children, and take over the family business. He was supposed to live a blissful life on a nondescript cul-de-sac, complete with a white picket fence and a closet full of tasteful polo shirts. He was supposed to make a graceful transition between being the golden boy and being the American Dream.
Mediocrity was what destiny had designed for Steve. Reality had other plans.
