In her first year at Hogwarts, Hermione Granger, a bright and determined Gryffindor, forms an unlikely bond with Thorfinn Rowle, a steadfast Slytherin, and Antonin Dolohov, a wise Ravenclaw, after a chance meeting in the library. Despite their differences in age and house, the trio becomes inseparable, with Thorfinn and Antonin fiercely protective of Hermione, often intercepting trouble before it reaches her.
