Summary
Jayce Talis y Viktor son dos investigadores prometedores. Viktor, un omega académico especializado en el impacto de las leyes Alfa-omega en la vida cotidiana, cree que el sistema debe ser destruido. Jayce por otro lado en su posición de Alfa y figura pública, cree que el sistema de castas puede ser reformado.
Viktor, para probar si las relaciones “intercastas” pueden ser funcionales en un entorno no romántico, decide participar en su propio experimento social, arrastrando a Talis con él.
El reto, es simular una relación como Alfa y Omega durante 6 meses bajo supervisión legal, médica y emocional, con acceso limitado a supresores, espacios compartidos y observación constante.
Todo es con fines científicos, pero claramente la tensión emocional va en aumento… hasta que los datos no pueden separar lo real de lo simulado.

“The doctor is ready to see you now,” the receptionist called, waving Viktor through to the doctor’s office. Viktor fidgeted in a nervous habit and smiled tightly but politely as he grabbed his cane for support and passed through the doors into the hallway.
It looked like any other doctor’s office he’d ever been to - offprint magazines in the waiting room, a clean, professional patient’s room with an examination table in the center, and various medical ephemera that made Viktor sweat even knowing none of it was necessarily going to be used on him. Over the years, Viktor had been to dozens of check ups in patient’s rooms just like this one, the only difference was that Dr. Talis only attended to a very particular patient clientele.
